Making The Bagpipes a Part of Your Wedding

Your wedding is one of the most special days in your life, and including a bagpiper will help
make it even more unique and memorable.  I enjoy knowing if there is a unique story to tell
about the bride and groom, or if there is some family history involved that makes having a
bagpiper ceremonial to their wedding.

Most people are not familiar with having the bagpipes as part of their wedding ceremony. Some
suggestions are listed below to help you with select a suitable format for your wedding:
  • They can be played to greet people at the door prior to the start of the wedding.
  • Inside the Church or Cathedral while family members are being seated.
  • During the procession and/or Bridal entrance.
  • Anytime during the mass.
  • During the recession, the piper walks down the aisle, greeting the bride and
groom, and then leading them down the aisle.
  • Outside as people are leaving.
  • At the reception, playing as guests and wedding party enter.
  • During a cocktail hour as guest arrive.
